As of November 2020, a T.V. drama series York’s Story based on my first novella Sovrin’s Star is in development.
I am an award-winning documentary writer for Door Ajar – The M.B. Mayfield Story, about an African American artist who learned art in a janitor’s closet through a door ajar at the University of Mississippi in 1949 during the height of the Jim Crow era.
Door Ajar won Best Mississippi Feature at the 2019 Oxford Film Festival. A feature film based on the documentary is in development.
